The 15-second version. I'm building a safe way back to the sacred for people who survived harmful religion. Zines, a game, a children's line, a grief app, a mail-order community, all of it running on real astronomy & a theology that says the world is holy ground. One studio, many doors, the same medicine behind each one.
Who it's for. Picture someone raised inside a faith that hurt them. They left, which was the brave thing. The trouble is that when they walked out, the sacred stayed on the far side of the door & no one offered them a way to be holy again that didn't come with a collar. That person is who I make for. The ones who still want the light & refuse to kneel to anything abusive to reach it.
What it is. Shining Crows Studio is a small publishing house & a quiet community for those people. Survivors & exiles, rebuilding a spiritual life on their own authority, with no guru standing in the middle of it.
The heart of it. The core is thirteen field guides, one for each sign in the actual sky. Each guide takes a wound that religion is fluent in handing out & turns it over in the hand. Hell & punishment becomes sovereignty over your own impermanence. The body as sin becomes the body as sacred intelligence. They're small, hand-stamped, wax-sealed things, built to feel like an artifact someone left for you, not a product you were sold.
The part people don't expect. Underneath the zines is a working engine. True astronomical astrology, the thirteen real constellations including Ophiuchus, the one the old charts quietly dropped. The I Ching. Human Design. Nervous-system & somatic practice, because no one thinks their way out of what the body is still holding. A theology that treats the material world as holy ground you came here to tend, rather than a prison to escape. None of it is set dressing. It all runs on the real sky, so the moon decides when the studio publishes & the equinox decides when the door opens.
It isn't only zines. There's a tabletop role-playing world called Inlumen, a café with a crow roost on its roof & a hidden fairy café inside, that teaches the same medicine through play. A whole children's line for kids, their parents & the therapists who sit with hurt children. A facilitator path, so other hands can carry the work. An app in design that captures a dying elder's voice & blessing before it's lost, so a family can scan a page & hear them again. A subscription that arrives by mail, sealed, like a letter from somewhere that remembers your name.
Why it holds together. Any one of those could be its own little business. The thing I'm actually making is the way they all hold together. The theology, the sky, the zines, the game, the care, the business itself, every part speaking one language & aimed the same direction. Someone could wander in through a card game or a grief app or a thirteen-dollar zine & find themselves standing inside a whole cosmology that had been waiting for them, rigorous & gentle at the same time.
The honest size of it. Mostly one person & the Internet. Strange, enormous, mine. If you want the deep version, I will gladly take you all the way down. If you only want the shape, here it is: a way home to the sacred, made for the people the old doors locked out.
